Mastheads

I decided on the colour scheme of red, black and white; because of this I designed my features stories/ plug/header with this theme in mind. Following this I needed to decide which coloured masthead was most suitable for the magazine.

This masthead is suitable as the colour of the masthead complements the colour scheme, even though the colour is not featured as part of the colour scheme. 

This masthead is not suitable because it does not stand out, this is due to the fact it is not bold or bright.

This masthead is bold which is very effective but does not complement the colour scheme of the magazine which therefore means it is not suitable. 

This masthead is not suitable as it does not stand out enough due to the fact the colour is relatively dull and blends into some tones of the background. 

This masthead is not suitable as the colour contrasts with the colour scheme, plus the fact that the colour is not very bright so therefore does not stand out.

This masthead is suitable as it fit into the colour scheme I have chosen, although it did not stand out as much as some of the brighter colours.

This masthead is suitable as it fits into the colour scheme and stands out due to the boldness of the colour. 

This masthead is not suitable due to the fact that it looked out of place with the colour scheme, although it did stand out due to the boldness of the colour.
